The Tisburys - A Still Life Revisited LP
âDo you remember my name?â asks songwriter Tyler Asay on âThe Anniversariesâ, the first single from The Tisburysâ new album, âA Still Life Revisitedâ. Recorded at Dr. Dogâs Mt. Slippery studio in the suburbs of Philadelphia with their longtime engineer/producer Justin Nazario, âA Still Life Revisitedâ is The Tisburysâ most collaborative effort to date. In an era where âbandsâ are seen as one individual, this is truly a âband recordâ with every member contributing songwriting and production ideas (especially from longtime lead guitarist John Domenico and keyboardist/co-producer Jason McGovern).
âThe goal with this record was âeverything in its right placeâ says Asay. âEvery instrument is playing its part and every song came together like a puzzleâ. While their last album (2022âs âExile On Main Streetâ) channeled 90s radio rock such as Gin Blossoms and The Replacements, âA Still Life Revisitedâ pushes into the aughts with the rustic bombast of millennial indie such as Frightened Rabbit and The Hold Steady. With themes that tackle memory & chosen family, âA Still Life Revisitedâ overflows with songs that can find home in both packed dive bars and stadiums. Itâs about looking back at your life, the choices and decisions youâve made, and celebrating where you ended up today. The album was mixed by Phil Joly (The Strokes, Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey), mastered by Ryan Schwabe (Beach Bunny, Slaughter Beach Dog, Hop Along). Â
With a physical release date of April 25th, 2025, âA Still Life Revisitedâ is being jointly released by Double Helix Records and SofaBurn Records.
There are two limited-edition custom vinyl color variations -- Cloudy Blue and Marble Green -- available from Double Helix Records and SofaBurn Records, along with black vinyl.
Be sure to buy a limited-edition Cloudy Blue LP and/or Marble Green LP before they are gone for good.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The real charm of custom vinyl records is that every record might be somewhat unique in its appearance. This means that the vinyl record you receive likely won't look exactly like the one pictured here, but that also means that no one else in the world will own a vinyl record exactly like yours. So, this vinyl record is a piece of art in more ways than one. We hope you enjoy it! Also, if you are pre-ordering this record, please know that the vinyl record you receive won't look exactly like the one pictured here, but it will be either a close approximation â or something even more magical!
